Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer 2 focused on translating customer designs into production, defining assembly processes, materials, methods and tools; leading new product launches with DFx analysis; sustaining engineering through engineering changes and configuration management; collaborating with production and suppliers to optimize PCB/assembly layouts, BOMs, and documentation; performing root cause analysis, and contributing to quality and cost improvements across the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent experience in an electronics-related discipline
- Minimum 3 years electronics manufacturing background
- Detailed electronic component and PCB knowledge
- Experience with Aegis Factory Logix software is an asset
- DFM, PFMEA, Lean/Six Sigma Fundamentals required
- PLM / ERP experience is highly desired
- CAM350 experience is highly desired
- New Product Introduction experience is highly desired
- ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 experience preferred
- AS9100 and/or medical device manufacturing experience an asset
- Ability to interpret engineering tolerances and technical documents (schematics/prints)
- Strong communication and multi-tasking capabilities
