Job Summary
In this role you will review, analyze, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using lean methods. You will interpret engineering drawing packages and sales write-ups to assemble and test products in accordance with customer and quality requirements including UL. You will assist the directing manager to plan manpower and equipment to complete production and testing functions efficiently, and lead process improvement projects. You will maintain and develop process measures, communicate project status to the Directing Manager, identify, develop, and conduct training for the Operations team, and provide technical support to the shop floor while liaising between shop floor and engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Lean engineering, project management, and manufacturing operations experience
- Supervisory experience is required
- Manufacturing engineering experience is required
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Desire to work in hands on, shop floor environment
- Experience using test/inspection equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
