Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Manufacturing Electronics Technician will maintain and troubleshoot production lines and control systems to maximize uptime and efficiency, serving as primary technical support during 2nd shift (3:00 PM–1:30 AM, Monday–Thursday with occasional training on the first shift). Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and supporting sensors, valves, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, and motion-control equipment; real-time troubleshooting and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; diagnosing PLC/HMI/sensor issues; performing root-cause analysis; supporting rework and scrap reduction; participating in preventive/predictive maintenance and continuous improvement; commissioning new equipment and validating process changes; documenting steps in maintenance systems; ensuring safety and lockout/tagout compliance; collaborating with engineers, operators, maintenance, and quality teams; and coordinating maintenance activities while maintaining reliable operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
- Microsoft Office Suite experience including Excel data logging
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently on 2nd shift
- Ability to prioritize multiple issues in fast-paced environment
- Sense of urgency and ownership
