Job Summary
Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions using standardized templates, ensuring the latest revisions are available on the shop floor. Partner with equipment operators and technicians to capture setup details, tooling information, and process data, then translate this into clear, step-by-step guides supported by photos and measurements. Align documentation with engineering drawings and quality requirements while gathering operator feedback to improve clarity and usability. Build visual references for tooling setups so teams can repeat processes reliably and help train manufacturing personnel on interpreting work instructions. Identify process improvements and escalate safety concerns or design discrepancies for timely resolution. Maintain controlled documents in the IFS ERP system and support lean/continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- 1+ year of related experience in a manufacturing environment (or closely related setting)
- Prior ERP experience to review bills-of-materials/routings (IFS preferred)
- Working knowledge of MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create clear, organized instructions
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with both office and manufacturing teams
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Successful background working in cross-departmental teams
- Experience in writing assembly and/or test procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Prior assembly or polyurethane, neoprene, and/or epoxy molding a plus
- Experience in process improvement for reduction in waste, reduction in cost and / or improvement in control
