Job Summary
Manufacturing Development Engineer responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting of production equipment (lathes, machining centers, grinders, robotics, vision systems), verifying that production uses correct programs, and creating capital projects for increased capacity and improved quality. Will participate in safety, quality, and OEE improvements, lead VA/VE initiatives, and contribute to automation and robotics initiatives. Requires a BS in engineering, 3-5 years in manufacturing with hands-on lathing/machining/automation experience, ability to set up and troubleshoot equipment, and PLC/robotics programming knowledge; background in electrical maintenance preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline from an accredited university
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with hands on experience in lathing, machining, and automation
- Ability to set up and troubleshoot equipment
- Programming knowledge with PLCs and robotics highly preferred
- Maintenance background in basic electrical circuits
