Job Summary
Manufacturing Development Engineer responsible for leading and coordinating projects across extended value streams, providing technical manufacturing support from early development through transition to production. Develop manufacturing data packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs; provide technical input to engineering designs and changes; guide factory engineers; apply manufacturing engineering skills to resolve constraints, improve producibility and cost, quality, and schedule. Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program; drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives; collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure factory readiness and producibility of products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in manufacturing production
- Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement
- Ability to work on programs requiring special program access
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
- Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
