Job Summary
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts while maintaining inventory valuation and costing system accuracy. Oversee accounts payable, fixed asset tracking, and job cost analysis to drive margin improvements and identify operational efficiencies. Partner with operations and purchasing teams to support financial performance, develop internal controls, and prepare management reporting with KPIs. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and external audits. Requires 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution with GAAP and ERP proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track experience
- Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or public accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, job costing, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a production-driven environment
- Ability to manage deadlines and operate effectively in a growing company environment
- Prior experience within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Experience improving costing systems, reporting processes, or operational accounting workflows
