Job Summary
Oversee accounting operations, month-end and year-end close processes, and internal controls within the manufacturing division. Manage cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Partner with operations leadership to analyze production costs and manufacturing variances, supervise accounting staff, and coordinate audit support for external auditors and tax advisors. Maintain strong GAAP compliance and drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
- experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of internal controls
- Experience with inventory accounting
- Experience with standard costing
- Experience with variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in Manufacturing ERP solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead processes
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems
- Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation
