Job Summary
Manufacturing Automation Engineer sought to design and deploy integrated manufacturing solutions on the shop floor, collaborating with branches to enhance production processes using robotics, machine vision, high-speed tooling, and material-handling equipment. The role involves applying manufacturing knowledge to new product design, participating in cross-departmental product development to ensure manufacturability, evaluating existing workflows to identify improvements, devising new solutions to manufacturing problems, and developing/training instructions for branch employees on operation and maintenance of systems. The position is based on-site in Stockton, CA, requires up to 10% travel, and offers a comprehensive rewards package including bonuses/commission and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent working experience
- Experience with machine vision systems
- Experience with industrial/mechanical control, PLC process controls, plant electrical systems, equipment instrumentation, variable frequency drives, human/machine interface and equipment operation
- Experience with robotics, palletizing and packaging
- Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Project management experience
- Experience with CAD / Modeling Software
