Job Summary
Produce inspection-ready aerospace insulation kits by selecting raw materials, cutting and shaping components per work instructions, and assembling finished parts according to specifications. Document fabrication actions and material usage while maintaining accountability for tools and templates. Follow established safety policies and receive direction from the Fabrication Crew Leader or Production Supervisor to ensure quality standards are met. This entry-level opportunity includes free training, tuition reimbursement, and a schedule of Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour days with three-day weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate manual and automated equipment
- Basic understanding of Job Travelers and cut lists
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and written/verbal communication
- Ability to work with fractions and decimals and determine tolerances
- Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
- Regular attendance
- Availability for overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, and climbing
- Visual acuity sufficient to determine accuracy and quality of work
- Ability to work in a moderate manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and temperature variations
