Manufacturing Associate - Gene Production

Job Summary
Manufacture high quality custom gene products and intermediates in a high-throughput lab according to established SOPs, operating equipment such as liquid handling robots, bioanalyzers, and sequencers. Execute molecular and cell biology processes including PCR, DNA quantitation, and cloning while maintaining detailed documentation of all work performed. Update work instructions, troubleshoot process deviations, and package products for shipping while adhering to Good Manufacturing and ISO practices. Complete daily tasks to keep the manufacturing schedule on track, reporting back to Leads and Supervisors. Work independently in a controlled laboratory environment requiring attention to detail, chemical safety, and the ability to stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience that can indicate success in a high throughput, fast pace laboratory manufacturing environment
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Atlassian etc) and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Ability to pay great attention to details
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing duties
- Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to work outside of regular work hours/ work a flexible shift as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology, chemistry or related field
- Familiarity or prior experience in a manufacturing and/or a laboratory environment
