Job Summary
Feed books and signatures into machines, pack finished items into cartons, and safely move materials between workstations. Perform hand operations as required while working as part of a team to hit daily production goals. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, organized workspace. No prior bindery experience needed; training provided for operating high-speed equipment. Full-time night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits starting after 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
- Can read basic job instructions and measurements
- Take pride in doing quality work
- Show up reliably and work well with a team
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
- Print, bindery, or finishing experience
- Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment
