Job Summary
Feed books and signatures into bindery machines, pack finished items into cartons, and safely move materials between workstations. Perform required hand operations, inspect products for quality standards, and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean workspace. Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals on a fast-paced floor, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. This role trains anyone with machinery experience to operate high-speed equipment, offering a stable full-time career with overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
- Can read basic job instructions and measurements
- Take pride in doing quality work
- Show up reliably and work well with a team
- Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
