Job Summary
Distinguish between scrap and usable castings, read and document travelers, and perform basic equipment maintenance. Clean and maintain the work area while adhering to all safety precautions. Recognize gating and castings, and understand Product Engineer Instructions (PEIs). This role requires strong language and mathematical skills to comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidates must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift 8-hour schedules and possess a strong work history with hands-on manufacturing experience. Prior manufacturing experience is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift 8hr Schedules.
- Strong work history.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Must be willing to participate in pre-employment drug screening.
- Some positions require vision screening with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Product Engineer Instructions (PEI).
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership.
- Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
- U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act).
Desired Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing experience desired.
- Desire to work with your hands in a production environment.
