Job Summary
Organize and implement plans, procedures, and policies to maximize resource utilization while incorporating safety, quality, and employee relations. Supervise Manufacturing Supervisors regarding production, distribution, volume, cost, and quality targets. Conduct employee meetings, approve personnel actions, and stimulate efficiency for both supervisors and production staff. Establish departmental goals, administer performance appraisals, and coordinate activities with other production areas and plant managers. Develop weekly schedules with Production Control, evaluate new equipment installations, and recommend process improvements. Continuously review area performance to ensure goal achievement and maintain compliance with quality specifications. Requires a Bachelor's degree and eight years of manufacturing management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years' experience in manufacturing environment in management or engineering
- 3+ year supervising salaried employees
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience managing multiple shift operations
