Job Summary
Assemble manifold assemblies per blueprint requirements using manual lathes, drills, and grinders while installing internal components with arbor presses. Identify non-conforming parts, rework units per instructions, and maintain accurate parts counts. Deburr parts, measure using hand tools, and inspect work against aerospace specifications. Complete buy-offs on paperwork, follow dispatch reports, and move jobs into the ERP system. Seek lean process improvement ideas to enhance department efficiency. Maintain tools, safety standards, and a clean workstation while properly handling chemicals. Assist in training new machinists and work on assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of related experience or training
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write in simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to understand and follow instructions conveyed through written, verbal, or diagrammatic means
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic windows/internet browser

- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Manual lathe / Mill machine operation
- Must be willing to work on any projects and/or tasks asked by the Manager; including assisting other departments if required
- Must be able to lift/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs (frequent)
- Must be able to lift/pushing/pulling up to 25lbs (occasional)
- Must be able to climb/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50+ lbs) (rare)
- Close vision (frequent)
- Color vision (occasional)
- Distance vision (rare)
- Must be a US citizen or permanent US resident with valid green cards
