Job Summary
Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases for the SIMBA Team, ensuring strong functional coverage across core user flows and edge cases. Perform hands-on manual testing across browsers and devices to validate new features, bug fixes, and releases. Collaborate with engineers and product teams to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear steps and expected vs. actual results. Maintain QA documentation including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to triage and prioritize issues by user impact. Participate in Agile workflows with daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives to embed QA throughout the development lifecycle. Execute regression testing and release validation to ensure product quality and stability before launch. Continuously improve manual QA processes, test coverage, and cross-team communication. An ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Computer Science (or related field) and 3+ years of manual QA experience, strong QA fundamentals, Agile experience, excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, and familiarity with Jira/Linear and browser developer tools. Nice-to-have skills include accessibility testing (WCAG), text-to-speech familiarity, exposure to test automation, and API validation with tools like Postman. The Romania-based salary range for this role is 3,000-5,000 USD/Month plus bonus and stock depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, with a strong focus on Web applications
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug reporting
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating cross functionally with engineering and product teams
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to isolate root causes and communicate issues clearly
- Strong written communication skills, especially when documenting defects and test results
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Linear, or similar bug tracking/project management systems
- Experience using browser developer tools to assist with debugging and issue reproduction
