Job Summary
Hands-on manual machine operator role producing automotive parts (steering wheels, shifters, and related components). Responsibilities include operating manual equipment (broaching, tumbling, tapping, drilling, cutting, milling, turning) and using cold saws, drill presses, hydraulic presses, manual mills, lathes, and tumblers. Maintain safety and quality standards, communicate part quality or availability issues, follow detailed procedures, measure and adjust tolerances,recognize operating irregularities, and perform other duties as assigned. Works 7:30am-4:00pm in Knoxville, TN; requires HS diploma/GED, strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, teamwork, and a pre-employment drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- Strong mechanical abilities.
- Ability to make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic mechanical issues and know when to seek assistance if needed.
- Ability to follow instructions in a detailed and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Pre-employment drug screen.
