Job Summary
The Manual Machinist operates and maintains conventional machine tools to produce precision parts. Ideal candidates will have experience with vertical boring mills and a strong grasp of machining principles, materials, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, scales, micrometers, and depth mics
- Must pass drug screen and hair follicle test
- Able to work a 12 hour shift when necessary
- Familiar with fabrication and machining prints and tolerances
- Familiar with flatness tolerances
- Able to convert and understand fractions and decimals
Desired Qualifications
- Machining weld necks and flanges a major plus
- Machining raised face tube sheets a major plus
- Operating jib and bridge cranes
- Worked in a custom fabrication shop
- Machining stainless steels, alloys, and carbon steel
