Job Summary
Manual Machinist position in Clackamas, OR. Operate heavy-duty machinery including manual lathe and knee mill; assemble and/or rebuild complete units or parts; maintain and adjust machinery to meet production needs. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to perform basic math, read and follow directions, and adhere to safety standards. Must be able to stand/sit/kneel for long periods and lift up to 80 pounds (two people). Four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday) with 3-day weekends; this is a full-time hourly role. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to safely operate power tools (grinders etc.) and hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, calipers)
- Must be capable of learning to assemble and/or rebuild complete units and/or parts
- Must be capable of maintaining and adjusting machinery to produce products
- Must be very mechanically inclined; products require exacting perfection
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Read and write English
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be able to stand, sit, or kneel for long periods; lift up to 80 pounds (2 people)
- Ability to judge distance and size
