Job Summary
Manual Machinist on 2nd Shift responsible for creating high-quality precision metal parts and components using lathes, milling machines, and measuring tools. Read and interpret blueprints, study design criteria, and develop and execute project plans to meet exact specifications. Operate and prepare machines to grind, cut, and polish raw materials, maintain high quality and safety standards, monitor processes for deviations, and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns. Requires strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management, teamwork, and a solid understanding of machining processes and metal properties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in machining or a related field
- Solid understanding of metal properties and machining processes
