Job Summary
Set up and operate gun drilling machines to produce precise, deep holes in metal parts, configuring work-holding fixtures and maintaining drill heads and coolant systems. Perform precision drilling while using measuring tools to inspect parts and verify dimensions meet design specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting production deadlines and adhering to quality and safety standards. This role offers at least 40 hours per week in a stable, long-term manufacturing environment with health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Precision machining experience
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses
- 2+ years of machining or related manufacturing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Gun drilling experience
- Experience with drill heads, tooling maintenance, and coolant systems
- Background as a Lathe Operator, Manual Machinist, or similar precision machining role
- Experience working with tight machining tolerances
