Job Summary

Mentoring high school students, developing curriculum and digital educational tools, and engaging with Holocaust survivors to preserve their stories. Facilitate public and Speakers Bureau programs while maintaining and creating digital resources for the Tauber Holocaust Library and Archives. Assist in planning the California Collaborative for Holocaust and Genocide Education and researching content for social media outreach. Collaborate with JFCS departments, attend meetings, and represent the center with cultural sensitivity and confidentiality. Work part-time, hybrid, and non-exempt from October 2026 through June 2027.

Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a Bay Area-based university or college
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with youth and/or a strong interest in education
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with computer software and tools, including video conferencing platforms and social media
  • A commitment to professionalism, responsibility, and a willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the history of the Holocaust and/or genocide studies, Jewish studies, or related fields (e.g., history, sociology, comparative literature)
