Job Summary
Perform manicure and pedicure procedures, including sculptured nails, tips, fills, and nail repairs, while maintaining all Encore Standards and safety protocols. Coordinate within the Spa Department by scheduling appointments, stocking work areas, and ensuring equipment is sanitized and orderly. Anticipate guest needs, resolve complaints within scope of authority, and sell retail products to maximize departmental success. Maintain positive guest relations and adhere to Massachusetts Gaming Commission and State Board of Cosmetology regulations. Work varying schedules to reflect business needs, manage multiple priorities in high-volume environments, and contribute to departmental performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or above
- Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- Cosmetology license from State Board of Cosmetology
- Minimum of 1 year manicurist experience in a demanding high volume luxury Salon environment preferred
- Must possess outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests
- Conversational English required
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least thirty (30) pounds
- Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner
- Must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
Desired Qualifications
- High school or equivalent degree preferred
- Second language a plus
