Job Summary
Conduct thorough on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory, verifying VINs, mileage, and documenting exterior, interior, and mechanical components per Manheim standards. Safely locate, start, move, and return vehicles on dealer lots while performing basic powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical checks. Build strong relationships with dealers through consistent quality and professionalism, educating clients on marketplace value and proactively engaging to increase inspection volume. Prepare and submit daily activity reports using Salesforce.com, collaborate with Wholesale Specialists and peers, and adapt to changing schedules to ensure effective dealer coverage. Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures, NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy, and production expectations while demonstrating independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required
- Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
- Previous vehicle inspection experience required
- Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required
Desired Qualifications
- Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical)
- 0–1 years of automotive‐related experience preferred
- 1–2 years of automotive‐related experience preferred
- 2–3 years of automotive‐related experience strongly preferred
- 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended
- any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED
- 5 years' experience in a related field
- 7 years' experience in related field
