Job Summary
Full-time remote English–Mandarin medical interpreter role in blended OPI & VRI environment. Responsibilities include accurate consecutive interpretation over phone and video between English and Mandarin across medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings; facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure understanding and care. Requires fluency in English and Mandarin, remote interpretation experience, knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and relevant interpretation certifications. Equipment requirements include wired Ethernet connection, USB headset, specific headset brands, up-to-date browser, and computer specs. 5 days/week availability with 2 days off. Pay per available hour; remote work with growth opportunities; June 2026 start.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant certification in medical interpretation or a related field
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Medical, customer service, social services, and financial calls interpretation skills
