Job Summary
Fully remote, full-time contractor interpreter fluent in Mandarin and English to facilitate communication between Mandarin and English speakers. Responsible for processing information quickly and accurately, maintaining a quiet and secure home office, and using glossaries and dictionaries as needed. Requires familiarity with healthcare and medical terminology, adherence to interpretation protocols, strong listening and note-taking skills, and the ability to explain cultural concepts to clients when requested. Training and reporting to the team leader are part of the role; starting immediately after onboarding and receiving monthly payments.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Minimum 1 year interpretation experience preferred
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication
