Job Summary
Operate welding equipment to fabricate, cast, and stamped components for tanks and pressure vessels. Set operational parameters, position and align components, and read prints to locate parts. Monitor process quality using required gages, complete first article inspections, and make necessary corrections to maintain steady product flow. Perform setup and operation of lifting devices as needed. Conduct first article inspection before starting production runs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read prints and locate piece parts
- Ability to set up operational parameters on a machine and monitor
- Ability to make corrections as needed to maintain steady flow of quality product
- Ability to position, align, and fit components together
- Ability to weld fabricated, cast, and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels
- Ability to complete first article inspection before starting a run
- Ability to monitor product quality using required gages and inspection criteria
- Ability to operate lifting devices as needed
