Job Summary
Diagnose and treat pets with illnesses and injuries while counseling clients on well-pet care. Model medical excellence to a team of two to four doctors, ensuring operating procedures and guidelines are followed to meet patient needs. Mentor doctors on clinical skills, performance metrics, and professional development through regular check-ins. Partner with the Member Experience Manager and Head Nurse to foster open communication and continuous improvement. Manage controlled substances, review practice orders, and ensure DEA logbooks are completed per standard operating procedures. Uphold Small Door's culture and values across the practice team and member experience.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Active state license
- Active DEA license
- 8+ years of experience in the field
- Professional approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
