Job Summary

Lead environmental impact assessments and permitting efforts for marine and onshore environments under CEQA and NEPA for large-scale power and technology projects. Prepare technical studies including Biological Assessments, EIRs, and Constraints Reports, while developing strategies to negotiate conditions with state and federal agencies. Oversee compliance for telecom, energy infrastructure, and linear development projects, ensuring delivery meets health, safety, and client satisfaction standards. Mentor staff consultants to foster talent and drive innovation within ERM's Impact Assessment and Planning service offering. Collaborate with account teams to expand services and build strategic client relationships across the U.S.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of consulting experience with deep expertise in regulatory frameworks for offshore/onshore power and tech projects
  • Proven ability to lead complex permitting and compliance programs
  • Strong business acumen and client engagement skills
  • Leadership experience with a passion for team development and mentorship
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline
  • Established relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders
  • Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, California Coastal Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and similar agencies
