Job Summary
Lead day-to-day commercial management and financial control of the PUMA K30 Tie-In works, ensuring robust administration of the NEC4 Option B contract. Maintain detailed visibility of scope, prices, and contractual obligations while providing timely commercial advice to the project team. Lead measurement and valuation of completed works, prepare payment applications, and reconcile actual costs against budget and earned value. Manage subcontractor accounts, identify emerging commercial risks, and develop mitigation strategies with the Head of Commercial. Provide accurate commercial reporting on contract value, cash performance, and cost-to-complete forecasts. Work full-time onsite at Hull.
Required Qualifications
- Significant Quantity Surveying/commercial management experience within major engineering, construction, energy or infrastructure projects
- Strong practical experience of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts, preferably including Option B
- Demonstrable experience of measurement and valuation on complex construction projects
- Strong understanding of Compensation Events and the interaction between change, measurement, programme and cost
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account
- Strong cost-control, forecasting and financial reporting capability
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Scope documents, Bills of Quantities/Price Lists and commercial schedules
- Experience with contract-management systems such as Sypro and project financial systems
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- RICS membership or progress
