Job Summary

Manage publishing projects, oversee production planning, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables that meet budget expectations. Provide exceptional author care, nurture internal and external partnerships, and prepare weekly sales reports. Lead project management efforts with editorial and marketing teams, assess risks early, and revise plans to minimize exposure. Develop production plans, set up ISBNs, and maintain data integrity throughout the product lifecycle. Manage P&L development, vendor onboarding, and advance payments while tracking contract requests for compliance. Facilitate title transitions to print-on-demand and map titles in the Global Works Tool. Participate in editorial meetings to improve workflow efficiency and distribute weekly title plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of publishing processes, including production, scheduling, and financial management
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office required, specifically Excel spreadsheets
  • Extensive project management and planning ability
  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience
  • B.A. in English or a related field; or equivalent job experience
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Proven spelling and proofreading skills
  • Able to distill numerous pieces of information and communicate key points to others
  • Quickly learn new software applications and maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies
  • Our preference is to fill this position in Nashville, TN but we are also open to qualified candidates that are located outside of the Nashville area
  • Travel may be required based on the need of the business

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with project management software, data management systems, and tools such as RSuite, Global Works Tool, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Clear understanding of the Christian publishing industry, editorial practices, and publishing operations preferred
  • Work experience in publishing/editorial project management strongly preferred
