Job Summary
Managing Director to provide clear strategic and operational leadership across a growing, family-run B Corp egg business in the UK. The role involves translating long-term vision into executable plans, strengthening systems and infrastructure to enable sustainable, profitable growth, partnering with the CEO and Board on strategy, driving high-performance culture, safeguarding brand integrity, and delivering governance and risk management across retail, foodservice and farming operations. The candidate will lead with transparency, nurture people, and act as an integrator across functions to scale the business while maintaining the company’s values and mission. Key focus areas include strategic planning, KPI ownership, capital investment, operational transformation, and building enduring relationships with farmers, customers, regulators and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Managing Director or senior executive in a high-growth, multi-stakeholder business
- Experience leading complex operations and supply chains
- Familiarity with corporate governance, food safety and welfare standards, sustainability frameworks (including B Corp) and relevant UK/EU regulation
- Strong financial literacy, including interpreting P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Desirable: experience of mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships or joint ventures, including evaluation, negotiation and post-deal integration
