Managing Director - Senior Market Lead - Asset Based Lending

Job Summary
Identify, develop, and close high-quality asset-based lending transactions for middle-market, entrepreneur-led, and publicly-traded clients with financing needs between $10MM and $75MM. Prospect new strategic relationships by calling third-party financial intermediaries, middle-market prospects, and financial sponsors while driving new business through quality leads and regular visits. Assess new opportunities with the underwriting team, structure deals to bridge client and bank requirements, and negotiate front-end terms. Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting via CRM, cultivate profitable centers of influence, and provide guidance during credit events for new strategic relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum of 10 years of ABL experience
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a business development officer for a Commercial or ABL lender
- Focused efforts on quality centers of influence
- In-depth understanding of the asset-based lending industry, market structures, and competition (bank/non-bank)
- Deep referral source network with track record of consistent calling efforts
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Additional knowledge of online prospecting tools (i.e. RelPro, Salesforce, Pitchbook, Loan Connector, etc.)
- Self-starter
- Ability to work out of home (office space where applicable)
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Extensive travel based upon candidate's marketing plan
- Legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above
- Valid work or study permit (where applicable)
