Managing Director, Risk Management

Managing Director, Risk Management based in London, UK, within the Bank's Risk Management division on a fixed-term contract of 4 years (with potential to renew for another 4). Leads and advances the enterprise risk management framework, advising the VP CRO, Executive Committee and Board on risk appetite, and ensuring identification, assessment, monitoring, escalation and governance of material risks. Responsible for people leadership of RM staff, strategic talent planning, and stakeholder engagement to foster best-in-class risk management, reporting to senior governance bodies (Executive Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, Board, external auditors). Oversees risk reporting, performance against risk parameters, and coordination with external regulators and rating agencies; drives transformation programs and collaboration with peer institutions. Requires extensive knowledge of credit, market and operational risk in financial services, ability to influence strategic direction, and a track record of building and leading diverse teams; education or equivalent professional experience relevant to risk management is expected.
