Managing Director, RFPC

As the Managing Director of Railroad Friction Products (RFPC) at the Maxton, NC site, you will assume full accountability for site performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash, setting the operational direction and ensuring alignment with business strategy while driving execution excellence. You will own CAPEX planning and execution, lead a cross-functional leadership team, collaborate with Finance, HR, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and IT, and engage with customers, unions/social partners, and local regulatory authorities. The role emphasizes lean transformation, continuous improvement, digitalization, KPI-driven performance management, and people leadership to build a high-performance culture and deliver sustainable results. You will interact with Product Line leadership and corporate functions, translate business goals into executable site plans, manage compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements, and drive talent strategy and workforce planning. Frequent day-to-day focus includes safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash flow; strategic oversight of budgets/forecasting; and maintaining strong external relationships with customers, suppliers, unions, and community stakeholders.
