Job Summary

Lead site culture and operational practices for CY Denver, driving outcomes and people satisfaction through data-driven staff strategy and professional development. Manage workforce planning, succession, and staffing structures while executing local AmeriCorps Member recruitment and ensuring successful implementation of Corps Experience elements. Partner with headquarters on compensation, benefits, and budget design, overseeing annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and zero-based program planning. Handle employee relations, grievances, and performance improvement plans while ensuring compliance with federal and local policies. Coordinate facility management, technology investments, and safety protocols to maintain an exemplary tenant environment. Support the Senior Leadership Team with agenda creation, board engagement, and site-wide event logistics.

Required Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent education
  • 5-7 years of experience successfully leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing Human Resources/people work
  • Experience leading strategic operations
  • Authorized documentation to work in the United States of America
  • Demonstrated ability to lead directors and managers in the creation and implementation of multi-faceted operating plans and budgets
  • Proven success in developing collaborative relationships, coaching, and interactive trainings with clear outcomes for adult learners
  • Strong passion for and commitment to City Year's mission of delivering high impact service to children and schools
  • Belief in youth as agents of social change
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Occasional standing or walking
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, and handling office equipment
  • Visual acuity to read screens and printed materials
  • Hearing ability to participate in conversations and respond to phone calls
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, virtually through platforms like Teams, and in writing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable internet access

Desired Qualifications

  • City Year/AmeriCorps or experience with local and national community service
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP; PHR or SPHR)
  • Background in human resources, finance, and/or operations
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to utilize multiple technology platforms
  • Ability to coach others towards utilization/interpretation
  • Proven success in developing talent through performance plans, reviews, and leadership opportunities
  • Experience supporting and engaging members of a Board of Directors
  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite
  • Workday experience
