Job Summary
The Managing Director of Technology will lead technical delivery for enterprise clients, driving architecture decisions and overseeing engineering team recruitment and development. This role requires hands-on experience shipping AI systems, managing high-level client interactions, and building repeatable operational frameworks. Ideal candidates will possess strong opinions on AI architecture, effective communication skills with various stakeholders, and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving within the technical team. Candidates should be ready to shape AI strategies and make critical platform decisions while committing to responsible AI practices.
Required Qualifications
- Built and shipped AI/ML systems in production
- Experience working in cloud infrastructure
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs in layman’s terms
- Comfortable with production-level detail
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience with AI architecture grounded in hands-on experience
- Experience hiring and leading technical teams of at least 5 people
- Comfort in high-stakes decision-making with non-technical executives
- Experience in scaling a startup or early-stage company
