Job Summary
The Managing Director of Technology at Human Agency will lead technical delivery for enterprise clients, making architectural decisions and ensuring successful project execution. The role requires a candidate with proven experience in building and shipping production AI/ML systems, and the capability to lead and develop a technical team in high-pressure environments. Responsibilities include designing repeatable engagement models, overseeing platform and infrastructure decisions, and making strategic AI technology choices based on client needs. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and advanced degrees are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Built and shipped AI/ML systems in production
- Hired and led a technical team of at least 5 people
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical executives
- Strong opinions on AI architecture with hands-on experience
- Comfortable with hands-on problem solving in technical situations
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and engineering practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in services or consultancy model (SOWs, staffing, client delivery)
- Network of engineers you’ve worked with and would hire again
