Job Summary
The Managing Director of Schools (MD) leads the KIPP Capital Region's educational strategy and is responsible for the performance of the regional portfolio of K-12 schools. Key responsibilities include managing school principals to meet academic benchmarks, enhancing student engagement, supporting instructional and operational initiatives, and fostering a team-oriented environment. The role requires strategic development and implementation of educational and operational policies to ensure student success and effective school management. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and have significant experience in school leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
- 3+ years’ experience as a Principal in a high performing school
- Prior experience working in schools and urban communities preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours
