Job Summary

Managing Director of Program Operations leads the execution system for Bottom Line’s national program model across regions, virtual delivery, and partner sites. The role functions as a system architect and decision owner, building repeatable infrastructure, decision frameworks, and operating processes to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery. Reports to the Chief Program Officer and collaborates with the Managing Director of Program Strategy & Fidelity. Manages four direct reports and a broader team of ~12 personnel, guiding cross-regional implementation, data governance, and program improvement. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8–10 years of progressive leadership in a nonprofit context, with experience overseeing multi-site or national operations, product-owner or shared-system governance, project management discipline, data-informed decision-making, and strong stakeholder partnership. Travel expected; work schedule is standard business hours with flexibility. Responsibilities span program operations execution, governance of technical systems (e.g., Salesforce, NPC), cross-regional learning, cross-functional partnerships, and fundraising support as needed. A mission-driven, high-empathy leader adept at translating strategy into scalable operational practice will thrive in this role.

  • Project management discipline; comfort with iterative sprint cycles, milestone tracking, intake routines, and SLA frameworks for cross-team work
  • Strong program planning, design, and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data systems (Salesforce, PowerBI, or comparable) and shape data infrastructure for end-user adoption
  • Excellent emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and ability to partner cross-functionally with executive leaders
