Job Summary

Managing Director of Leadership & Annual Giving leads the Leadership Giving and Annual Giving programs and staff, setting strategic direction, managing a multi-person team across UNH Foundation/Development units, and overseeing a portfolio of prospects to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of fundraising experience (or equivalent experience e.g., sales/marketing)
  • Demonstrated understanding of philanthropy and the fundraising profession and its theories, practices, standards, and principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of back-end fundraising support in gift processing and data management, research and prospect management, and information technology (reports and systems)
  • Advanced experience with annual and leadership giving programs, including direct marketing, donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
  • Extensive experience managing professional staff and complex teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills; ability to work in a metrics-driven environment
  • Proficiency in fundraising databases and technologies (e.g., Blackbaud CRM)
  • Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and domestically; ability to work evenings and weekends
