Managing Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (Remote)

Managing Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (Remote) leads the FP&A function for Reading Partners, partnering with the CFOO to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for a national nonprofit. Responsibilities include building financial models, leading annual budgeting and monthly forecasts, delivering variance analyses and financial reports by region/function, guiding budget owners and development teams on cash flow and financial sustainability, and overseeing systems and processes to ensure efficiency. The role also includes people management of two FP&A staff, collaboration with national and regional leaders, and ensuring compliance and timely reporting to funders and the Board of Directors. The position requires 10+ years of FP&A experience, 3+ years of people management, a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and readiness to work remotely within specified Reading Partners locations (Southern California, DC, MD, NJ, NY, WA, SC, or VA). Bonus points for an MBA or advanced degree and nonprofit/ AmeriCorps experience. The offer includes full-time employment with a salary range of $135,703-$151,668 per year, benefits, and potential travel to operating locations; salary is contingent on geographic location.
