Leading Axios Local Client Partnerships as Managing Director of Expansion & Growth to drive multi-market revenue growth through audience-solutions selling. Build a disciplined, package-first sales culture that increases ACV and sales velocity, develop hunters who sell audience solutions at scale, and oversee all aspects of a client-partner team including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Requires extensive experience in digital media sales, leadership of distributed high-velocity teams, consultative selling, and strong CRM/forecasting discipline; operates in a remote-optional environment with travel and evening engagements as needed. Strong ability to understand partner priorities, develop creative solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally with Industry Solutions, Axios Brand Studio, and events teams. Proficiency with AI workflows to enhance revenue generation and client-partner effectiveness; familiarity with regional budget differences and multi-market dynamics.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media industry
  • Experience leading distributed, high-velocity sales teams at scale
  • Has multi-market sales experience and knows how regional budgets differ from single-market budgets
  • Experience in consultative selling and can reframe clients around funnel gaps
  • In-depth knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape
  • Strong CRM discipline and forecasting rigor
  • Suggest AI workflows to improve revenue generation and Client Partner effectiveness
  • Willingness to travel and attend social events and engagements during evening hours
  • Ability to oversee all aspects of daily operations for a team of client partners, including hiring, training, coaching and development, and performance management
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the willingness to proactively partner with Industry Solutions, Axios Brand Studio, and events teams
