Job Summary
Manage, cultivate, and solicit a portfolio of individual donors, including mid-level and major giving circles, while planning and executing annual stewardship programs. Partner with the SMD and Executive Director to set vision and strategy for raising $3 million or more, identifying and securing new funding to diversify the individual giving stream. Lead stream portfolio reviews, maintain donor data in Salesforce, and translate regional priorities into a focused case for support. This role involves independently developing strategies to acquire, retain, and diversify private donors within the New York City philanthropic community. You will work closely with local advisory board members and regional colleagues to advance fundraising efforts.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of related experience in development and fundraising context
- Track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals as a donor portfolio manager
- Must be able to travel to engage with local donors
- Occasional weekend or evening work hours required
- Must be in the New York City & surrounding area
- Hybrid- Remote position, but strongly encouraged in office once per week and for meetings and events as required
