Job Summary
Lead global strategy, architecture, and delivery for Portfolio Management Services Engineering to modernize platforms supporting over $20Tn in assets. Define technology roadmaps for high-scale, resilient systems and partner with product, SRE, and investment stakeholders to align technical investments with business outcomes. Build and mentor world-class engineering teams across global locations, establishing succession pipelines and fostering a culture of operational excellence. Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, AI-enabled development, and automation to improve developer productivity and platform performance. Provide senior leadership for the India engineering organization, managing workforce planning and organizational effectiveness. Translate complex investment requirements into scalable solutions for portfolio construction, analytics, and trading workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- significant experience leading large global engineering organizations
- Proven success leading organizations in highly demanding environments such as: Asset Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, FinTech, Large-scale Technology Platforms
- Track record of leading multiple teams and managers and growing engineering leaders across multiple locations and time zones
- Experience managing mission-critical platforms operating at significant scale
- Enterprise-first mindset with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries
- Strong people leader with a passion for developing talent and building future leaders
- Outcome-oriented with relentless focus on execution and delivery
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Collaborative team player who operates effectively across business, product, and engineering functions
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change
- Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture
- Expertise in scalability, resiliency, reliability, observability, security, and performance engineering
- Strong SDLC and software engineering discipline
- Experience with Agile at scale and modern engineering operating models
- Ability to engage deeply in architecture reviews and guide senior technical leaders
- Strong understanding of investment management, portfolio management, trading, analytics, market data, risk management, or related financial technology domains
- Ability to connect business strategy, investment workflows, and technology execution
