Managing Director, Client Investment-Activation Lead

Job Summary
Senior managing role leading client investment across all media channels for a major account, overseeing a large team of media professionals, driving cost efficiency and revenue growth through strategic negotiation and data-driven activation, and partnering with C-suite stakeholders to align enterprise priorities with client objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing staffing and workflow, delivering on transformation initiatives, guiding media narratives, and ensuring measurable, full-funnel performance. Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced analytical and presentation skills are required; hybrid work arrangement with three days in New York office and two remote days.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
- Agency experience highly preferred, with experience managing large client account billings
- 12+ years of management experience with strong leadership and mentorship skills
- 15+ years of experience in digital media buying, video media buying, paid social, search, programmatic, audio, etc.; experience across other channels (branded content, influencer, affiliate, commerce) a plus
- Proven ability to inspire, innovate, and collaborate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills
- Familiarity with leveraging platforms/DSP/data solutions for investment activation
- Experience leading tactical campaigns across multiple lines of business
- Experience with Prisma, Media Ocean, and DCM is a plus
- C-Suite tested presentation skills
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
