Job Summary

Conduct overall administrative and clinical leadership for SEARHC Dental clinics, including daily office oversight, front desk operations, and patient flow management. Provide administrative and clinical supervision to Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Therapists, while engaging the team through planning, assigning work, and conducting annual performance reviews. Manage clinic schedules, staff training needs, and vendor relations, and lead staff meetings to ensure smooth clinical operations. Participate as a provider for infants through geriatric patients, including village and field travel, while collaborating with visiting providers to maintain excellent patient care standards.

Required Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Active Dental License in the USA
  • 5+ years of work experience as a dentist
  • Alaska license
  • Certificate from an accredited dental residency program
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 2+ years of work within tribal practice
  • In-depth knowledge in a health care administration setting including staffing and clinic organization, scheduling, and patient flow
  • Working knowledge of the revenue cycle, facilities management, and other infrastructure areas impacting the clinic
  • Knowledge of applicable certification and accreditation processes
  • Knowledge of liability and risk management principles
  • Working knowledge of proper infection control techniques

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificate from an accredited dental residency program
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • 2+ years of work within tribal practice preferred
  • Alaska license preferred within 2 years if not USPHS BLS required
