Managing Counsel - APAC

Job Summary
Managing Counsel, APAC role based in India with potential office locations in Delhi, Bangalore, or Pune or remote work within India. The role focuses on corporate governance and commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of contracts (Master Services Agreements, Services Agreements, SOWs, SLAs, Orders Forms, NDAs) and providing day-to-day legal support to cross-functional teams (Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR, leadership). Requires practical, business-oriented legal advice while balancing objectives and risk, strong knowledge of Indian employment and labour laws, and experience with policy development and scalable legal processes. The candidate will mentor junior team members, participate in policy/procedure development, and support cross-border legal and commercial matters, reporting to the SVP of Legal in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified lawyer and admitted to practice law in India
- Minimum of 6+ years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial customer and vendor agreements
- Experience with Master Services Agreements, Services Agreements, SOWs, Service Level Agreements, NDAs
- Experience providing day-to-day legal support to cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR, leadership)
- Strong knowledge of Indian employment and labour laws including labor code compliance
- Ability to deliver risk-based legal advice on corporate, regulatory, compliance and operational matters
- Experience managing, developing and coaching team members
- Experience advising international teams and managing cross-border legal and commercial matters
