Job Summary
Lead and coordinate site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation of soil, groundwater, and sediments under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs. Plan and oversee field activities including sampling, drilling, well installation, and vapor intrusion assessments while reviewing environmental data to develop conceptual site models and technical reports. Evaluate remedial alternatives, negotiate cost-effective closure strategies with regulatory agencies, and mentor junior staff to maximize client value. Build trusted client relationships through proposals and presentations to support business growth. Requires a valid driver's license for frequent travel across a large geographical area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of progressive project management and technical experience in site investigation/remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Environmental field experience
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety protocols
- Not eligible for immigration sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering or geology
- Professional license (PE, PG) or ability to obtain one soon
- 5–8 years of experience managing complex projects
- Familiarity with environmental data management tools (e.g., EQuIS)
- Experience with vapor intrusion investigations and remediation
- Understanding of electronic field data collection and reporting technologies
